Q. Is PAT testing the same as an EICR?

A. No. PAT testing checks suitable portable electrical equipment. An EICR is a fixed electrical installation condition report and must be carried out by an appropriately qualified electrician.

Q. Can you fix a dripping tap?

A. Yes. I can repair or replace many common taps, cartridges and washers. If the tap is badly worn, corroded or not worth repairing, replacement may be the better option.

Q. Can you fix a toilet flush?

A. Yes. I can repair or replace common toilet flush mechanisms, fill valves and toilet seats. Photos of the toilet cistern and faulty part help before booking.

Q. Can you connect a washing machine or dishwasher?

A. Yes, where the existing plumbing connections are already in place and suitable. If new pipework, electrical points or major alterations are needed, a specialist may be required.

Q. Do you do boiler or gas work?

A. No. Boiler and gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. I do not carry out gas work, boiler repairs or central heating repairs.

Q. Do you do full rewiring or consumer unit work?
